Earlswood, Solihull [22 November 2023] – Today marks a significant milestone for the Earlswood community as Wave Café & Catering officially opens its doors at Earlswood Lakes Craft Centre, introducing laid back café/bistro style dining and coffee options to locals and visitors alike.
The new café offers a delectable menu featuring breakfast, brunch, and lunch options, as well as a tempting selection of handmade cakes. The menu showcases a variety of hot foods, sandwiches/toasties and daily specials, as well as locally sourced coffee from Monsoon Estates.
Wave Café & Catering is the brainchild of Earlswood local Charles Wheelwright and Knowle-based Laura Ventrella. This dynamic duo, formerly the long-running caterers at Copt Heath Golf Club, bring with them a stellar reputation for delivering superb food and impeccable event catering.
Charles Wheelwright, with over 40 years catering experience, expressed his excitement stating, “We are thrilled to bring Wave Café & Catering to Earlswood Lakes Craft Centre. Our journey has been fuelled by a passion for exceptional food, and we look forward to becoming a cherished part of this vibrant community.”
Laura Ventrella, a proud graduate of Arden School and Future Chef National Finalist, shared her heartfelt sentiment, “Opening my own café has been a lifelong dream. My love of food stems from my Italian family and growing up visiting the nearby Earlswood Lakes, this location holds a special place in my heart. Crafting a space where people can enjoy delicious food has always been my passion, and I’m thrilled to invite everyone to experience the warmth and flavours we’ve poured into every aspect of our café.”
Situated at Earlswood Lakes Craft Centre, the café will be open Tuesday to Sunday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The team also offer outside catering services for your party at home or at another venue. Whether it’s a sandwich buffet, afternoon tea, canapés or meal there are here to help.
There is also the option to exclusively hire either of the venue’s rooms for your private event (baby shower, wake, lunch party etc.). Engine Room for up to 20 guests & Windmill Room for up to 30 guests.
